LNOBT announces competition for one orchestra concertmaster's place and one second violin section concertmaster's place

General Information

• The audition will take place on 9 January 2021 at 11:00 (the second round shall be held on 10 January at 16:00) in the Great Hall of the LNOBT;
• The registration is open until 4 January;
• The results of both competitions will be announced after the second round;
• Planned salary: the coefficient of the fixed part of the orchestra concertmaster's position is 10, the ratio of the second violin section's concertmaster is 9. The variable part will depend on the professional qualifications and work experience of the staff.

Conditions of the Competition

Competition for the position of orchestra concertmaster First round

During the first round, performers play behind the screens.

1. First part and cadenza of W. A. Mozart’s Violin Concerto (No. 1 – 5 optional)
2. Excerpts from orchestral parts in the order indicated:

• Excerpt from G. Verdi's opera “Otello” (rehearsal marks M to R 5th bar) Download>>>

• Variations No. 7 (solo) from Adam’s ballet “Giselle“ Download>>>

Second round

1. Romantic concert, optional first part with cadenza (J. Sibelius, J. Brahms, P. Tchaikovsky, A. Dvorak, F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, M. Bruch)
2. Orchestral parts upon the request of the jury:
