The theatre hall will remain empty, because there are far more opera and ballet fans in Lithuania than are currently allowed to gather in closed spaces. However, "Untold Stories" will be easily heard by everyone who tunes in to LNOBT’s YouTube channel or the lrytas.lt website on 10 June at 8 pm.
The end of the Anniversary Season was to be decorated with two classical masterpieces of opera and ballet - Gaetano Donizetti's opera “Anna Bolena” and Adolphe Adam's ballet “Giselle”. However, after the introduction of the quarantine, theatre artists could no longer hold joint rehearsals, and after closing the state borders, the main creators of these premieres could not come to Vilnius - “Anna Bolena’s” conductor, LNOBT’s Artistic Director of Opera Sesto Quatrini, director Andrea De Rosa (Italy) and “Giselle’s” choreographer Lola de Avila (Spain).
On 10 June at 8 p.m., during the final concert of the season "Untold Stories", you will see excerpts from the premieres “Anna Bolena” and “Giselle”. They will be presented by opera soloists Joana Gedmintaitė, Justina Gringytė, Jovita Vaškevičiūtė and Liudas Mikalauskas, as well as three pairs of ballet artists: Kristina Gudžiūnaitė and Genady Zhukovsky, Anastasija Čumakova and Daniel Dolan, Gohar Mkrtchyan and Jeronimas Krivickas.
