Information about the production
The opera is scheduled to be produced from 1 August to 25 September 2026.
Participants
Professional opera soloists are invited to participate in the audition.
Registration
Registration is required to participate in the audition.
Registration is open until 18 January 2026 (inclusive). Applications will not be accepted after this time.

Programme
During the audition, two pieces are performed – one selected from the list below, according to the role chosen. The second – 2 weeks before the audition, all participants will be sent sheet music (no more than 2-3 pages) of excerpts from Ž. Martinaitytė's opera, which they will need to perform from the sheet music during the audition.

Traveler – mezzo-soprano J. Massenet Charlotte's aria from op. "Werther", V. Bellini Romeo's aria from op. "I Capuleti e I Montecchi", B. Britten Hermia's aria from op. "A Midsummer Night's Dream", W. A. Mozart Cherubino's aria from op. "The Marriage of Figaro" or a similar type of aria.
Old Man / Shaman – bass (lowest possible register)
W. A. Mozart Sarastro's aria from op. "The Magic Flute", Bartolo's aria from op. "The Marriage of Figaro", G. Verdi's Banco's aria from op. "Macbeth", G. Verdi's King Philip II's aria from op. "Don Carlo" or a similar type of aria.
Mother / The Arctic – lyric-coloratura soprano
W. A. Mozart one of the two arias of the Queen of the Night from op. "The Magic Flute", W. A. Mozart Fiordiligi's aria "Come scoglio" from op. "All of them are like this", W. A. Mozart Constance or Blonde's arias from op. "The Abduction from the Seraglio", W. A. Mozart Vitellia's aria from op. "The Clemency of Titus" or a similar type of aria.
Aunt / Sedna – mezzo-soprano or alto
G. Puccini Princess's aria / solo scene from op. "Sister Angelica"; G. Verdi Amneris’s aria from op. "Aida", G. Verdi Eboli's aria from op. "Don Carlo", R. Wagner Fricka’s aria / solo scene from op. "Die Walküre", R. Wagner Kundri’s aria / solo scene from op. "Parsifal", C. Saint-Saëns Delilah’s aria from op. "Samson and Delilah" or a similar type of aria.
Father – bass-baritone

Three ladies:
First Lady – soprano

Second Lady – soprano

Third Lady – mezzo-soprano
