Concert

Dedicated to the anniversary of Julija Stupnianek

LNOBT Chamber hall
Dedicated to the anniversary of Julija Stupnianek

LNOBT’s opera soloist, soprano Julia Stupnianek invites you to celebrate her creative anniversary with a special concert in the Chamber Hall of the theatre. She made her debut on the opera stage in 2000, in the role of Violetta in Verdi's opera La Traviata, and has since created more than 30 impressive roles. Apart from singing many principal roles at the LNOBT, the soloist also frequently performs in concerts. The soloist has prepared soprano parts in oratorio pieces by W. A. Mozart, R. Schubert, J. Haydn; in her concerts of chamber music she’s often singing music by different German, French, Italian, Russian and Lithuanian authors. J. Stupnianek often collaborates with ensembles “Musica Humana” and “Vilniaus arsenalas”.

Ms. Julija Stupnianek is the prizewinner of Dichler-Sato Competition in Vienna (3rd prize, 1999), “Romansiada” International Vocal Competition in Moscow (3rd prize, 2000), Vincė Jonuškaitė-Zaunienė Competition in Vilnius (1st prizes in 2000 and 2001). In 2003, she won the “Operos Švyturiai” Award in the category “Opera Hope of the Year”. She also received Grand prix awards at the International Competition for Singers in Kiev (Ukraine, 2005) and International Competition for young opera singers “Art and Education in the 21st Century” (Finland, 2006). In the spring of 2011, she won the Grand Prix at the vocal competition of the International Forum Musical Performance and Pedagogy in Lonigo (Italy) and Vienna (Austria). However, perhaps the biggest award and win for the soloist is the audience's attention and applause.

On the occasion of her anniversary, Julija Stupnianek together with pianist Lina Giedraityte presents the audience with an evening of favourite arias and songs.
