On the occasion of World Theatre Day, we bestow “Golden Cross of the Stage” awards to the most prominent creators of theatre. Every year this solemn ceremony is held in a different theatre, and this year, we - the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater - have the great honour of becoming the home of this beautiful celebration. The year 2020 is a very important time, marking 100thanniversaries of Lithuanian opera and drama. Thus, we want to create an exceptional celebration, honouring both the professional festival and the ceremony of the most important Lithuanian theatre awards. Together with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and LRT, we are organizing an impressive evening directed by Gediminas Šeduikis, music director Ričardas Šumila, choreographer Martynas Rimeikis, screenwriter Mindaugas Nastaravičius, lighting designer Andrius Stasiulis.
