New Lithuanian opera for children at the national theatre - we have been dreaming about this premiere for 20 years! Composer Jonas Tamulionis wrote “The Tiny Lingonberry” after a mythological tale of Martynas Vainilaitis, and now this beautiful work found its home in our theatre. On stage, the beautiful berry-girl Lingonberry is accompanied by a whole lot of colourful characters - her sweetheart Jingle the Dwarf, friend Blueberry, the wisest creature of the forest called Spook, also the good witch Mortar and the wicked witch Azure, His Darkness Mr. Malicious and all of the baddies from the mysterious country Scoundrelia. And wait until you see little Spookies, Wriggles, Kites and Rumblies filling the opera with their magic spells and miracles... There is nothing better than a fairytale in which after a long battle between Good and Evil, the Good eventually triumphs!

Premiere: 20 March 2010
