CREATIVE TEAM

Choreographer
Donatas Bakėjus

We are welcoming our youngest spectators – those that are carried to the performances by their parents. This time, these special concerts that were previously known as “Music for Tiny Ears” would be more accurately called “Music for Tiny Legs”, because the choreographer Donatas Bakėjus created a fun journey through fairy tales, and the concerts introduce the little ones not only to classical music, but also to classical dance. In such concerts, children's hearing, plasticity, motor skills and sense of movement are developed. The concerts feature classical music performed by LNOBT’s orchestra artists, excerpts from children’s ballets shown on the main stage. The members of LNOBT’s ballet company, who are hosting the concerts, involve the little listeners and their parents in the game of music, have great fun communicating with the little ones and teach them how to understand the language of the dance symbols. The children are involved in the action, the choreography specially designed for them is performed, and they’re being gently taught the unwritten rules of conduct during concerts.

The performance is partially supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture
