S. Mickis' opera for children "Mamma Moo" was created in 2009 as a commission from NOA Festival / “Operomanija”. It is a story about a cow Mamma Moo who wants to climb trees and about Crow, a bird that walks firmly on the ground. And yet, it's a tale of their friendship. The libretto for this opera was written by the poet A. Šimkus after Jujja Wieslander's book, and the song lyrics were created by A. Sunklodaitė. Incredibly fun stories are told with the help of colourful, theatrical music, playfully intertwining classicism, gentle modernism and even popular music. Director A. Ambrozaitytė thinks that the most important element in this production is that “Mamma Moo does not seem to encounter insurmountable things. Anything is possible if you really want it! This charming cow will teach the little spectator one of the most important rules: you have to dream a lot, and the most important thing is to pursue your dreams in the boldest steps!”
The production is intended for children aged 5-10.
